Tisdall Grand Reserve Merlot has a deep youthful purple glow. Plummy ripe fruit, hints of mint lots of new oak vanilla, in balance. Some pepper and plenty of vanilla from the oak with surprisingly clear acid balance. Youthful clean finish that will develop with cellaring.

Tisdall Grand Reserve Merlot 1999 has a deep crimson colour. Aroma of spice, mulberry, stewed fruit and a touch of liquorice. The palate is relatively short, with flavours of cinnamon, vanilla with plum and stewed fruit evident, followed by a sour cherry back palate. Firmish dry tannins. Aftertaste of leather and stewed fruit.
