Penfolds Bin 389 Cabernet Shiraz 1998 is one of the noted exceptional vintages and produced some of the biggest and boldest reds that we've seen. The remarkable concentration of plum and mocha fruit in this much loved Penfolds classic has allowed it to mature into a balanced wine with the perfect composition between elegant tannins and youthful fruit. Its ready to drink with lamb on Christmas Day, or you could put it away in the cellar for a little longer as it has enough structure and youth to last at least another decade.

'Full red-purple; dense, dark berry, dark chocolate, and savoury/spicy aromas are a backdrop for a palate full of cassis, blackberry and chocolate supported by a great depth of ripe tannins.
